365 Project 365 | Week 4

Finally getting around to blogging week 4!

I LOVE this time of the year! Especially since we have Grant to celebrate Christmas with now. I wanted to start a Christmas tradition and decided to get him Christmas pjs and a book. On Christmas Eve we will read and watch a Christmas movie! Grant won't watch just yet obviously, but Nate loves National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. We've gone to a Christmas parade and had pictures taken with Santa! Can't wait for the other holiday activities and hopefully I'll be able to capture it on camera.. week 5 is looking to be pretty sad since I haven't taken a photo yet! Anyway, enjoy week 4!

Starting a Christmas tradition. Pjs and a book!

Trickster. For a couple of nights in a row he would be asleep in his crib and then 10 minutes later wake up and start "talking". He's lucky he is so cute!

When I bring him along for photoshoots... haha. Poor Kalie!

Baby's first Christmas.

We put up his first Christmas ornament!

365 Project | Week 3

Made it to week 3! Yay!

I actually missed a few days since I was traveling from Mont Belvieu - Addison - Greenville - Mont B. That's ok though! I went ahead and added an extra pic for day 12 just because he's so darn cute! Day 13 isn't candid but I did his 5 month photos that day. Taking his monthly photos by myself wears me out! My family might kill me for posting our Thanksgiving pic but it was too funny to pass up. It was a rainy holiday this year, but so glad we got to spend it with our crazy people!

XOXO,

Kaycee

Watching the rain while doing his new "thing"... sucking his bottom lip.

365 Project | Week 2

Week 2 of the 365 Project! I am loving this project more and more each day. The only bad thing is is that it makes me want to purchase a macro lens so bad for detail shots! Maybe one day ;)... I did miss day 11 due to cleaning the house and having an engagement session that afternoon. I'm just proud I made it this far lol! Enjoy! XOXO

He tried bananas for the first time and he approved!

6/365

It was a rainy day and we were stuck inside.

7/365

He woke up at 9:45 am a happy boy! I was a happy Momma! :)

8/365

Dreaming.

9/365

Multitasking. This is why it takes me forever to get things done.. and why my coffee gets cold. ;)

Morning snuggles.

2016 KNP Senior Model Team | Part 1

I'm so happy I finally get to show off the 2016 KNP Senior Model Team shoot!

We were supposed to have the photo shoot back in October but it got rained out (story of every Southeast Texas photographer's life right now...). Thank the Lord the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day when we rescheduled for November! We started the day at Bridgette's makeup studio, which is amazing by the way. I had cookies made by Baking Up A Storm that said "2016" and "Senior" on them. I have to admit that I ate more than one... they were so good!! Thanks Emily!

We decided to go with more of a fall look for their makeup and used a darker lip/smokey eye. Bridgette never disappoints! She did a different look on each girl and their makeup was flawless! It's always a good time working with Makeup By Bridgette Gil :).

The girls were so much fun to work with! Here are some of my favorites from part 1 of the photo shoot... come back for part 2!

Venue: The Laurels  -- Thanks Lauren for allowing us to shoot at your venue!

Bed Time Story

I've always said that if KN Photography didn't work out for me then at least I had some skills to take decent shots of my family...I do not regret picking up that Olympus camera back in 2010 one bit!

Sometimes I have to slow down and remind myself to put the iPhone away and capture my life with an actual camera AND print what I captured! Now the only thing I have to remind myself about is to be IN the picture! haha... I don't want to look back at photo albums and think where was I? I know a lot of you Mommas can relate. Make sure to ask someone to snap a few shots of you and the kids! XOXO
